Atlanta Botanical Garden's 27th Annual Garden of Eden Ball Decor Planning Begins

Planning is underway for the Atlanta Botanical Garden's 27th annual Garden of Eden Ball. Ball décor planners met earlier this month to brainstorm ideas for this year's event, which will be held on Sept. 27, 2008. The committee met at the sales center at Presenting Sponsor Peachtree Hills Place, an upscale residential community in Buckhead for people ages 55 and older seeking a secure, independent lifestyle.

The black-tie gala is being chaired by Terance and Jennifer Fowler, and will be held from 7 p.m. – midnight on the Garden’s Great Lawn. As a special tribute, the evening will honor Mrs. J. B. (Dottie) Fuqua, who, along with her late husband, J.B. Fuqua, has been one of the Garden’s most dedicated and generous supporters. Jennifer Fowler is their granddaughter. Décor and flowers will be by Atlanta event designers Kathy Rainer and Tricky Wolfes of Parties To Die For, who are planning a lavishly decorated tent to emphasize this year's theme, Bell’acqua, with a color scheme of blues, greens and aquas.
