The Atlanta Braves Foundation's inaugural Diamond Gala, a star-studded night of casino games, entertainment, and silent and live auctions, alongside Braves players, coaches, and alumni, is set for Friday, January 23rd at the InterContinental Hotel in Buckhead. All proceeds will benefit the Atlanta Braves Foundation and help fund the Foundation's community grants program.
Diamond Gala ticket packages include Braves Bucks that can be used to play casino games such as Black Jack, Roulet, Craps, Texas Hold-Em Poker, and Slots. Guests will play alongside Braves players, coaches, and alumni who will be in attendance interacting with fans throughout the evening.
Guests will also have the opportunity to play games to win diamond jewelry and many other valuable prizes, all to help raise funds and benefit the Atlanta Braves Foundation.

Fifth Annual "Atlanta Braves Foundation Turkey Drop"

The Atlanta Braves Foundation will continue two annual Thanksgiving traditions this holiday season with the "Atlanta Braves Foundation Turkey Drop" on Thursday, November 20 and the "Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless Thanksgiving Dinner" on Thursday, November 27.
Kelly Johnson and his wife Lauren will go door-to-door in the Turner Field neighborhood, distributing baskets filled with Thanksgiving provisions, including turkey, stuffing, vegetables, and desserts just in time for the holidays, during the fifth annual Atlanta Braves Foundation Turkey Drop. Five families, selected by the Georgia Avenue Food Co-op, a former Atlanta Braves Foundation Grant recipient, will receive the Thanksgiving baskets from the Atlanta Braves Foundation.
For the eleventh consecutive year, the Atlanta Braves Foundation will help facilitate Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless' annual event to serve the people in need on Thanksgiving Day. A seven-course meal will be served, and much more will be offered to those present, including a "Kids Corner" with toys, books, and school supplies for children; a barber and beauty Shop with hot showers, clean clothing and toiletries; church services; free medical check-ups; a long distance phone call center; and a job referral and housing center.

Atlanta Braves Foundation Awards Nearly $90,000 in Grants to Local Non-Profit Organizations
The Atlanta Braves Foundation awarded grants totaling $87,000 to the following non-profit organizations prior to Friday's Braves game vs. the New York Mets: Atlanta Community Food Bank, Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, Atlanta Track Club, Canine Companions for Independence, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Cobb Christmas, Inc., East Lake Foundation, Latin American Association, L.E.A.D., Inc., Metro Atlanta Project, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Ga., North Metro Miracle League, READing Paws, Inc., Star Struck Foundation, The Auditory-Verbal Center, Inc., The Ron Clark Academy, Tomorrow's Champions, Villages at Carver Family YMCA, and YES! Atlanta.
The Atlanta Braves Foundation grants funds to youth-serving organizations that focus on health, education, and recreation; that have sound financial practices; and whose plans for the requested funds will have a significant impact upon the individuals served by the requesting organization.
Friday night's grant ceremony caps another successful year for the Atlanta Braves Foundation and its community outreach programs. The Foundation was successful in its fundraising efforts in 2008 thanks to the generous support of thousands of fans and community partners. Marquee events and initiatives including the Legacy Brick Paver Program, Atlanta Braves Foundation Weekend and the Third Annual Atlanta Braves Foundation Golf Classic experienced tremendous support and success. Annual fundraisers and ongoing programs including Jerseys Off Our Backs, Brown Bag Bonanza, the 50/50 Raffle and game day silent auctions helped provide additional funds to support the Atlanta Braves Foundation's outreach efforts.
Metro Atlanta youth baseball and softball programs benefited in 2008 from the "Pinch Hitter Grant Fund," an initiative to assist youth baseball and softball organizations in need. The Atlanta Braves Foundation made $12,000 in financial contributions to 12 organizations to help provide relief for lost or stolen equipment, damaged facilities, and uniform shortages.

Atlanta Braves Wives Fifth Annual "Brown Bag Bonanza" is Saturday, Aug. 16
Saturday, August 16, 4:30 PM- until the end of the 4th inning: Braves wives will sell the autographed baseballs cloaked in brown paper bags from the time Turner Field gates open at 4:30 until the end of the 4th inning.
The Atlanta Braves wives will sell more than 750 autographed baseballs, cloaked in brown paper bags, Saturday, August 16, at Turner Field during the Braves Wives fifth annual "Brown Bag Bonanza" to benefit the Atlanta Braves Foundation and Camp Erin Atlanta. Braves fans can purchase the brown bags for a flat fee of $40 and enjoy the element of surprise as they find out whose autograph they have received when they open their mystery bag.
Camp Erin is a bereavement camp designed for children ages 6-17 who have experienced the death of a parent, friend or loved one. It is a weekend-long experience filled with traditional, fun, camp activities combined with grief education and emotional support -- facilitated by grief professionals and trained volunteers.

Atlanta Braves Foundation Raises Nearly $80,000 During Atlanta Braves Foundation Weekend, July 4-6
Atlanta Braves Foundation Weekend generated nearly $80,000 for the Atlanta Braves Foundation and its Grants Program, July 4-6, at Turner Field. Braves memorabilia, including game-worn Braves jerseys, autographed baseballs, photos, lineup cards, and other unique and valuable items were sold and auctioned off all weekend to benefit the Atlanta Braves Foundation.
Top silent auction items included a Brian McCann autographed catcher's mask and batting glove that went for $1500, a Chipper Jones autographed game-worn jersey for $1000, and a framed collection of baseballs signed by each member of the 2008 Atlanta Braves team that sold for $1275.

Atlanta Braves Foundation Baseball and Softball Equipment Drive Set for June 21 - 22 at Turner Field
The Atlanta Braves Foundation will collect baseball and softball equipment to benefit the Atlanta Braves Baseball Academy's YMCA Junior Braves Youth Baseball League, on June 21 - 22 at Turner Field. The first 200 fans to donate new or used baseball or softball equipment (minimum of two items) or make a $20 cash donation will receive a Braves autographed photo (maximum two photos per family, while supplies last).
Fans can drop off their new and used baseball and softball equipment donations at the Turner Field Main Gates in the Monument Grove area on Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22, from the time gates open until the end of the 2nd inning.
