PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- As the Jim Mora Count On Me Family Foundation officially turns "three" this week, and the NFL enters its fifth week of regular season play, there are lots of reasons to celebrate. The Jim Mora Count On Me Family Foundation will host a football-themed dinner fundraiser, the Super Seattle Steakout Benefit Bash, on Sunday, October 19, 2008, at Stoney River Legendary Steaks in Duluth. Attendees of the event will join fellow fans on a night out at one of Atlanta's premiere steak houses for mouth-watering steaks, delicious drinks and football. Attendees can bid on authentic NFL football gear -- jerseys, helmets, footballs -- and other unique items, while catching the Seattle Seahawks as they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers; all to benefit children in need in Georgia through the Jim Mora Count On Me Family Foundation.
One lucky attendee will even have the opportunity to win a 52" SHARP HDTV AQUOS LCD TV, courtesy of Aaron's Sales and Lease.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Atlanta-based charities through the Jim Mora Count On Me Family Foundation. The following four charities have received annual partnership grants from the Foundation: Boys & Girls Club of Metro Atlanta, Camp Twin Lakes, Gwinnett Children's Shelter, and Special Olympics Georgia--the Foundation's signature charity; this year's grant cycle will take place in late October. For more information on tickets, or reserving a table, please call the Foundation Office at 404-556-3833, or log on to: http://www.countonmefoundation.org/SteakOutBash.html.
In addition to the event mentioned above, the Foundation has several programs and projects planned for the remainder of 2008, including the following: an in-hospital "Holiday Shop" for patients at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in December, the third annual kickoff of the Jim Mora Flag Football League in select local Boys & Girls Club of Metro Atlanta, the Count On Me in Year Three Community Donation Tour, the launch of the Count On Me in Year Three donor campaign, a holiday contest for local community coaches, and more! The Jim Mora Count On Me Family Foundation, the charitable foundation of Seattle Seahawks Assistant Head Coach Jim Mora and wife, Shannon, supports children in need in Georgia and Washington. The Count On Me Family Foundation has granted over a half of a million dollars to 21 charitable organizations over the past three years. Created in October 2005, the Count On Me Family Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization which supports children in need, primarily in three target areas: children from low socio-economic backgrounds, mentally and physically-challenged children, and children at-risk. The Foundation affords children the opportunity to realize their potential and dreams by assisting organizations which help to create more stability in their lives, supporting advocacy for children, and supporting channels that empower children to have a voice and support their well-being.
