Paul Anderson Golf Classic

This is a bit of a trip, but the Paul Anderson Youth Home is here in Georgia and from what we've been able to find, it's a worth cause. While you may not be willing to travel to South Carolina to play golf to support the group, maybe you'll be led to lend a helping hand in another way just by learning a bit about the youth home:

The 15th Annual Paul Anderson Golf Classic (PAGC) will be held on Monday, May 5, 2008 at The River Golf Club in North Augusta, South Carolina with 8:30 A.M. and 1:30 P.M. shotgun starts. Since the first tournament was held in 1994, $4,530,308 has been raised to help perpetuate the Paul Anderson Youth Home (PAYH) in Vidalia, Georgia. 83% of the proceeds from the 2007 event supported the Paul Anderson Youth Home’s Annual Fund.

This much-needed Christian residential alternative to juvenile and adult correctional facilities for young men between the ages of sixteen and twenty-one is based on Luke 2:52:“And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.” Each family member is encouraged to grow spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally, and socially. The on-campus SACS accredited school integrates Biblical principles into the curriculum.

Since the ministry’s inception in 1961, God has been transforming young men and their families. Because of 250+ years of cumulative staff service, the PAYH web site: www.payh.org offers parenting resources and weekly devotionals that are touching families and changing lives.

Participate in PAYH’s largest fundraiser and help touch families and change lives. For registration, directions, and sponsorship information, please visit: www.payhgolf.com, call 912-537-7237 or 800-559-PAYH, or fax 912-537-8734.
