Drug and alcohol use among the youth of our community is a rapidly growing problem; one that is no longer confined to high school aged youth. It is now spreading to middle schoolers and in some cases to primary school aged children. And as wide spread as the problem is, until recently there was little or no help available locally for these adolescents, but now there is.
DART, A New Beginning, Inc. a local non-profit organization, has joined forces with Grace Harbour, Inc., a local counseling, assessment and diagnostic company to provide that much needed help. A 1786 square foot facility located in Peachtree City at 23 Eastbrook Bend has been leased to serve as an office and treatment facility where a program of intensive individual, family and group counseling for boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 17 is provided.
Two levels of outpatient substance abuse treatment are provided. The first, a less intensive individual counseling program, meets for one hour once a week. The second, a more intensive program, meets Monday through Friday. Mondays and Fridays are set aside for individual and family counseling, as well as treatment planning, admission and diagnostic assessments and nursing and psychiatric appointments. The sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, begin right after school and last until 7:30 P.M. These sessions focus on behavioral therapy in group settings. The program limits the group size to eight youth per group, but is capable of handling up to three groups at a time. A “snack supper” is provided and an hour long AA/NA group meeting is included in each session.
Random drug tests are conducted throughout the course of treatment. In addition and in order to graduate from the treatment program, each adolescent must pass a hair follicle drug screen to prove that he/she has been drug free for the previous 30 days. The treatment program also addresses co-occurring disorders such as anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, ADHD, conduct disorders, and various other psychological disorders.
The treatment programs are designed to meet the needs of the individual adolescents and the length of the program varies, but a typical program will last approximately three months. If deemed necessary at the end of the initial treatment period, additional treatment will be provided. After treatment follow-up is also provided.
Referrals come from a variety of sources in the community; Department of Juvenile Justice, Department of Family and Children Services, schools, churches, private therapists and concerned citizens to name a few. A portion of the cost of treatment is covered by Medicaid, state contracted fee for service, or personal insurance, with the balance covered by support from the community.

Yes it seems to be major problems within teens nowaday they get used quickly to drugs and alcohols so parents always are trying to find some common solution on the internet for some adolescent treatment programs this post is a nice one to help them around.
